1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and WhiteSteed LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of SermonScribe (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service

The Service includes features such as sermon import, AI-powered chapter generation and content refinement, rich text editing, citation management, image handling, and multi-format document export (PDF, EPUB, DOCX). The specific features available to you depend on your subscription plan.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
4. Subscription and Payment
Subscription Plans
Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. We offer monthly and annual billing options. Current pricing is displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice before any price changes take effect on your subscription.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle until you cancel your subscription.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you are entitled to a refund due to a billing error, please contact us at admin@sermonbuild.com.
5. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you upload, create, or generate through the Service, including but not limited to sermon transcripts, manuscripts, chapters, and associated materials ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. If you share a book with an editor (see Section 9), this license also covers giving that editor access to the book, at the access level you choose and for as long as that access lasts.
AI-Generated Content
Content generated or modified by our AI features is considered part of Your Content. You own the output produced by AI processing of your materials. However, you are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before publication or distribution.
Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, features, and documentation, is owned by WhiteSteed LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law.
6. Acceptable Use
Intended Purpose
SermonScribe is designed exclusively to serve pastors, ministers, and speakers within the Christian faith. The Service is intended for the creation, refinement, and publication of content that is consistent with historic Christian doctrine and teaching. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that your use will be limited to content that falls within this intended purpose.
Content Standards
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to review, suspend, or remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account that we determine, in our sole judgment, is being used to create, promote, or distribute content that:
- Contradicts, opposes, or undermines the core tenets of the Christian faith
- Promotes teachings, ideologies, or doctrines that are anti-Christian in nature
- Propagates beliefs or practices that fall outside the scope of Christianity
- Misrepresents Christian scripture, theology, or tradition in a deliberately misleading manner
- Uses the platform to advance content unrelated to Christian ministry, preaching, or faith-based publishing
Content Review
WhiteSteed LLC reserves the right to review content on the platform, including through the use of automated tools and artificial intelligence, to assess compliance with these Content Standards. Such reviews are conducted solely by authorized personnel of WhiteSteed LLC and are used exclusively for the purpose of maintaining the integrity and mission of the platform. Your content will not be shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party as part of this review process, except as required by law. If content is found to violate these standards, we may remove the content and/or terminate the associated account without prior notice or refund.
Prohibited Activities
You also agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload or transmit content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Upload or transmit unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written permission
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialize access to the Service without authorization
7. AI Features and Disclaimer
The Service includes AI-powered features for content transformation, refinement, and citation detection. While we strive to provide high-quality AI-assisted output, AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or unintended modifications. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and edited before use
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any published content
- We make no warranties regarding the theological accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content
- Citation detection and formatting are automated tools and may not capture all sources or format them perfectly
8. Export and Publishing
The Service provides tools to export your content in various formats (PDF, EPUB, DOCX) suitable for self-publishing platforms. We do not guarantee compatibility with any specific publishing platform's requirements, including but not limited to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or others. You are responsible for ensuring your exported manuscripts meet the specific requirements of your chosen publishing platform.
9. Professional Services ("Hire a Pro")
We may offer professional ghostwriting, editing, and publishing consultation services ("Professional Services") through our "Hire a Pro" option. Professional Services are provided under separate agreements with their own terms, pricing, and deliverables. Inquiries submitted through our contact form do not constitute a binding agreement for Professional Services.
Editor Access
If you hire us to work on a book, you can give one of our approved editors access to that book from inside the Service, using the Share option in the book. The editor works from their own account. You never need to give anyone your password, and you should not.
- What an editor can see. Only the books you share with them, the sermons and citations linked to those books, and your profile (your name, email address, and author biography). They cannot see your other books, the rest of your sermon library, your password, or your billing information.
- Access levels. With "Can edit," the editor can read, change, add, and delete content in the shared book, including its chapters and pages, linked sermons, citations, cover, and formatting settings, and can export it. With "View only," they can read the book but not change it. Only you can archive or delete the book, publish its promotion page, or share it with anyone else.
- AI features. An editor with edit access may use the Service's AI features on the shared book. That use counts toward the editor's account, not yours, and the content is processed as described in Section 7 and in our Privacy Policy.
- Record of changes. Changes an editor makes are recorded under their name. You can see recent changes in the Share panel, and each page shows who last edited it.
- Ending access. You can change or remove an editor's access at any time from the Share panel. If you set an end date, access ends automatically at the end of that day (Coordinated Universal Time). An editor can also leave a book, and access ends if the editor stops working with us.
- Your record. When you share a book, we record the date, the editor, the access level, and the version of these Terms you agreed to, and we email you a receipt.
- Ownership. Sharing a book does not transfer ownership of any of Your Content. Content an editor adds to a book you shared is part of Your Content.
The scope, price, and schedule of the editing work itself are set by your separate agreement with us for Professional Services.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHITESTEED LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT; (C) ANY ERRORS OR INACCURACIES IN AI-GENERATED CONTENT; (D) ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT ON THE SERVICE; OR (E) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WhiteSteed LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your content, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your content before termination, unless the termination is due to a violation of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State in which WhiteSteed LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless you opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by contacting us at admin@sermonbuild.com.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
